As the pandemic becomes a part of everyone’s lives, Canada’s food guide encourages healthy eating to avoid other health issues. However, social worker Mary Anne Cohen recommends to not obsess over creating the perfect meal.
“Accept that your eating will not be ‘perfect’ at this time. There is too much stress during this new normal for anything to be flawless,” said Cohen. “The more you try to eat ‘clean’ or ‘perfect,’ the more you will obsess and struggle. Tell yourself daily that good is good enough, and strive for progress, not perfection.”
