In March, the federal government moved to clean up unnecessary and archaic laws from the Criminal Code.
These laws remain written in the code, despite regulating outdated behavior, or having already been deemed unconstitutional by the courts. Since its creation in 1892, the Canadian Criminal Code has only been revised twice in 1950 and 1970.
