Ryerson students want to hear more about the economy, says poll

In a school-wide poll that concluded on Thursday, Ryerson University students said that they want to hear more about the economy from their government. The poll collected student’s opinions on the provincial Liberal party’s performance. Since the provincial Liberals came into power, employment has increased in Ontario. As of April 2017, the unemployment rate in Ontario has been its lowest since 2001. However, despite a balanced budget this year, Ontario’s debt is on the rise.

The poll was conducted by Ryerson School of Journalism students. They surveyed 567 full-time students at Ryerson University between Oct. 6 to Oct. 19. The poll carries a margin of error of plus or minus four percentage points, 19 times out of 20.
